Following this weekend’s season finale in Abu Dhabi, several Formula 2 drivers both past and present are set to hit the track once more at Yas Marina for the F1 young driver’s test.
So here is a rundown of who will take part in Tuesday’s test in Abu Dhabi.
2024 Formula 2 Champion Gabriel Bortoleto will begin working with Kick Sauber ahead of his step up to Formula 1 next year, jumping into their car for the first time.
Runner-up Isack Hajdar is set to step back into the Red Bull Racing car for the third time this year having also had two FP1 outings for the team at Silverstone and at Yas Marina this past weekend.
Alpine have also confirmed that newly-signed 2025 Reserve Driver Paul Aron will also get a chance behind the wheel at the test, with the Estonian driving alongside Jack Doohan for the day's running.
Aston Martin will field 2022 Formula 2 Champion Felipe Drugovich and current F2 driver Jak Crawford, the former completing the Pirelli tyre test while the latter takes part in the young driver’s test.
Another driver making an early start on next year’s step up to Formula 1 is Andrea Kimi Antonelli, and he will be driving the Mercedes W15 alongside new teammate and 2018 Formula 2 Champion George Russell.
Also jumping back into the car after their debut at the season finale is Luke Browning. The Williams Racing Driver Academy member got his first FP1 runout with the team in Abu Dhabi and he will be back out on track on Tuesday for the Grove outfit.
Ayumu Iwasa was another to take part in FP1 this past weekend, the Japanese racer doing so for the RB F1 Team, and he will be back in the car for them at the young driver’s test.
And having made history by partnering his brother Charles in the first Practice session in Abu Dhabi, Arthur Leclerc will be in action for Ferrari once again on Tuesday.
