Rodin Motorsport enter the 2026 campaign with a promising line-up and a lot of ambition of turning their potential into Championship-contending form.
Last season, the team wound up seventh in the Teams’ Standings, not where they had hoped to finish, but the final position betrayed the level of competitiveness they displayed across the campaign.
So, ahead of 2026, the objective to take a step forward is clear, and after three days of pre-season testing, Sporting Director Benn Huntingford says that Rodin are well-placed to kick on this year.
“Overall, it’s been really positive for us,” Huntingford said. “We got to try a lot of things, and made some good progress with the quali setup. We've also been working on the race runs as well, so we're happy with everything we've achieved so far.”
Martinius Stenshorne joined the team at the back end of last season ahead of his full campaign in F2 this year. It was valuable experience and he continued to build on that during the three days of testing in Barcelona.
Huntingford said that the Norwegian’s progression continued in Barcelona at a good pace.
“Martinius has been doing good. It’s good to get to grips with the new features of the F2 car and what he has to deal with when the drivers step up from F3, just getting used to the carbon brakes and other stuff like that. So he's been adapting really well to the F2 machinery.”
On the other side of the garage, Alexander Dunne enters the new season with expectations of contending for the title after his impressive rookie campaign last time out.
Having taken multiple victories across the 2025 campaign, Huntingford backed his driver to do much the same again this time around, as the Irishman began his preparations for the new campaign in earnest.
“Alex has been really good, really focused, just working through the test programme, doing what we need to do, learning what we need to learn, and then focussing on putting a strong season together.”
Looking ahead to the season, the Rodin Sporting Director added that testing in Barcelona is a totally different challenge to the one awaiting teams and drivers when they touch down in Australia for the first round of the year.
Albert Park is a unique street circuit, meaning that not everything teams worked on in pre-season testing will be applicable to the Melbourne circuit.
Despite that Huntingford says his team is well prepared for the upcoming season.
“Mostly we’ve been working on stuff that will be used in general, a few little bits that we're quite pleased with and hopefully that'll come to fruition when we get to qualifying in Melbourne.”
