Following today’s FIA Formula 2 Feature Race which took place at Circuit de Monaco, Alexander Albon was found guilty of causing a collision. When entering the pit lane for his mandatory pit stop, the DAMS driver collided with Nyck de Vries, who was making his entrance to the pits at the same time. The contact sent Albon into a spin, before he later retired from the race. The Dutchman from PERTAMINA PREMA Theodore Racing also stopped his run a few laps later, his car sustaining damage after the collision.

As a consequence, Albon was handed a 5 place grid drop for tomorrow’s Sprint Race in Monaco. He will henceforth start from last position.
