After one of the most exciting and unpredictable Formula 2 seasons of all time, the paddock came together one final time to celebrate the year at the official Prize Giving Ceremony.
With several awards and accolades to give away, teams and drivers were in attendance to receive trophies and acclaim for a special year of racing.
MP Motorsport and Paul Aron were up on stage to collect the third-place trophies for their finish in the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships, followed by Campos Racing and Isack Hadjar.
The Dallara Award for Best Overtaking Manoeuvre was then presented to PREMA Racing’s Andrea Kimi Antonelli, accepted on the Italian driver’s behalf by Team Principal Rene Rosin.
Up next was the Mecachrome Outstanding Win Award, going to Gabriel Bortoleto for his Monza last-to-first comeback in the Feature Race that catapulted the Brazilian into serious title contention.
The Aramco Best Performance Award went to Isack Hadjar after his Melbourne Feature Race bounce back win following losing the Sprint the day before to a penalty.
Oliver Bearman was the recipient of the Pirelli Trophy for his efforts across the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend, after taking pole in F2 before his late F1 call-up and points on debut in the race for Scuderia Ferrari.
The Anthoine Hubert Award went the way of Gabriel Bortoleto, with the Kick Sauber-bound driver earning top rookie honours alongside his F2 Championship trophy.
He and team Invicta Racing were back up on stage once more to receive their winning trophies to close the evening, a terrific celebration of all the action from 2024.
