The 2024 season was Campos Racing’s finest in Formula 2, although their fight for both titles’ ultimately fell short as they finished second in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships.

But with five wins – tied for the most with PREMA Racing – and 12 podiums – the second most of any team – there is plenty for the Spanish outfit to build upon in 2025 and it starts with their driver lineup.

In Josep María Martí and Arvid Lindblad, Campos bring to the grid two very impressive drivers but are they the pair that can deliver those coveted titles to Alzira, Valencia?

Martí is the more experienced of the two, with the 2025 campaign set to be his fifth racing for Campos and his second in Formula 2.

The Spanish driver had a mixed rookie year as while there were flashes of pace and brilliant results, there was also difficult moments, mostly due to being unluckily involved in various incidents.

His season started with a double podium in Sakhir but soon after he went eight consecutive races without finishing in the points, half of them being DNFs.

In fact, Martí’s nine DNFs across the year were the most of any driver on the grid and he will be hoping that 2025 brings a change in fortune.

If that does happen, the 19-year-old has shown plenty to hang your hat on, he finished on the podium again in Spielberg before winning the final Sprint Race of the year in Abu Dhabi.

What was eye catching about that is he held off the fast-charging Champion Gabriel Bortoleto in a straight shootout on pure pace, showing that he has what it takes to match the front runners.

On top of that, he was quite happy with how he was performing in the three days of post-season testing at the Yas Marina venue, and he will be hoping to carry that forward into 2025.

Another reason to keep an eye on Martí is based on his 2023 Formula 3 campaign, the Spaniard putting himself in the mix for the title after building on the foundations set in his rookie season.

If he can do that this year, another Drivers’ Championship fight could be on the cards for Martí, should he blend his and Campos’ pace with improved consistency.

Joining him this year is another fellow Red Bull Junior Team member in Arvid Lindblad, the 17-year-old making the step up to F2 after an outstanding first – and only – season in Formula 3.

The Briton made a fast start to the year like Martí, winning on debut at the Sakhir Sprint Race, before ending up second at the same Saturday event at Melbourne a round later.

After several points finishes, he got his first Feature Race victory at Barcelona before making history on home soil at Silverstone, becoming the first driver to win both F3 races on one weekend.

This put him squarely in the frame for the Drivers’ title heading into the final three rounds, but things did not go his way, and he ultimately ended up fourth in the Standings.

But he leaves the third tier with a win percentage of 20%, the highest in the Championship’s history and having shown a lot of promise.

One thing his season in F3 and his post-season test in Abu Dhabi showed is how much of a hard worker and quick learner Lindblad is as he is able to take information onboard and use it to improve.

At the end of the year, he talked about how much he developed his pace from the start to the end of the season as well as his tyre management skills and his approach to race weekends.

As a result, Lindblad would have learned a lot from shadowing the team from Baku onwards and from the end of the year test, where he showed remarkable improvement from days one to three.

If he continues that approach this year, Lindblad could be a driver to be reckoned with in 2025.

Campos will be riding on a wave of confidence after a successful 2024 and with such a strong lineup they will have a lot of belief that they can have another good campaign.

Martí and Lindblad will also be confident of having strong individual seasons and if they do, a Drivers’ Championship challenge cannot be ruled out for either of them.
